23-month-old Mirabel Nwokorie undergoes surgery to repair a cleft palate at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. Shortly after her birth, her mother noticed a hole in the roof of Mirabel’s mouth which caused liquid to leak out of her nose during feeding.
