Only about half of survey respondents indicate that international development organizations are supportive of employees learning and applying new skills.
Development professionals acknowledge that, as new technologies and innovations are introduced to the industry, they will need new soft and technical skills to succeed. Survey respondents stress the importance of gaining new expertise and experiences and rely on a number of information resources and tools to learn new technology, skills and approaches.
